All concrete differences between Classic and Pro: Live Vision, instant photo, iPhone voice commands, Ray-Ban Meta 2nd generation and everyday tools. No spin.
All differences
What Pro adds to Classic.
Pro-exclusive features that go beyond simple photo reading. PRO is iOS 17.6+ only.
1. Continuous Vision Live
Where Classic takes a photo, Pro analyzes a live video stream. You walk, you describe what you see in real time. Particularly useful for retinitis pigmentosa or glaucoma (restricted visual fields). Powered by Gemini Live. Pro exclusive.
2. Voice Mail (to others or to yourself)
Lumyeye Pro lets you dictate and send emails by voice to any recipient, including yourself. Handy to "keep a trace": web-search result, recipe, photo, article you've just had read aloud — send it to your own inbox to find it again later. Reading received emails is coming in a future update.
3. Voice Google Maps
"Take me to the post office": Lumyeye Pro launches Google Maps with the walking route ready. From there, Google Maps takes over with its standard voice navigation. No more hunting for the address on screen.
4. Voice Spotify
Pilot Spotify with your voice: Lumyeye Pro launches the app, you ask for your playlist, your artist, your podcast. No more hunting for the icon on screen. Driving, walking, cooking — music stays under control. (Spotify only for now.)
5. Ray-Ban Meta
Pro will soon be compatible with the 2nd-generation Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses Upcoming (~ €379 / ~ $379). Camera and speakers on the frame: hands-free, no need to pull out the phone. See the technical details.
Bonus — Continuous voice
Pro holds a continuous conversation: ask a question, refine it, ask something else. No need to restart the request each time.
Bonus — 2× faster
Lumyeye Pro is about 2× faster than Classic on response latency, thanks to an AI pipeline optimized for iOS 17.6+. In heavy use (reading mail, ongoing conversation), the gain is felt immediately. The single word "photo" triggers an instant photo — no intermediate menu.
Bonus — Tap or double-tap anywhere
On Lumyeye Pro, a single tap or double tap anywhere on the screen starts listening. Auto-sleep at the end of the response. Interruption by single or double tap. No button to aim at — the entire screen is the active zone.
Bonus — Smooth VoiceOver + warm native voice
Lumyeye Pro is exceptionally well integrated with VoiceOver — months of work to make it fluid. But most interactions go through a beautiful warm native voice (not VoiceOver's mechanical voice), for a more natural experience.
Bonus — No account, voice onboarding
Unlike Classic (optional 1-click Sign in with Apple or Google), Lumyeye Pro requires no account on open. You download, it's active immediately. A voice onboarding guides you on first launch. Email only requested at first payment, after your 40 free requests.
Bonus — Calls, SMS, Calendar and Timers
Pro can launch a phone call, prepare a voice SMS, create an event in iPhone Calendar and start Timers with a notification when time is up.
Bonus — Memo and iPhone battery by voice
Memo mode saves, reads and erases everyday information: Wi-Fi code, keys, address, instruction. You can also ask for your iPhone battery by voice, including whether it is charging.
Bonus — iPhone photos and live information
Say "Open my photos" to describe an image from your iPhone library. Pro also answers live information requests: weather, opening hours, news or web search with follow-up questions.

Active mobility
You walk, take public transport, get around the city on your own. Continuous Vision Live (Pro) and voice Google Maps make a real difference compared to isolated photos.
Remote-working professional
Constant email, calendar to manage, projects to track. Voice dictation and email sending (Pro) are essential to stay productive without depending on VoiceOver for every action.
Culturally active senior
Music, podcasts, outings. Voice Spotify and voice Maps (Pro) keep cultural and social autonomy alive without resorting to the screen.
Future Ray-Ban Meta wearer
If you own or buy 2nd-generation Ray-Ban Meta glasses, Pro is the version to choose: it will soon connect to the glasses to free your hands. Compatibility coming soon.
Who Classic is enough for
3 cases where Classic stays the right pick.
Pro isn't a mandatory upgrade. Here's when staying on Classic makes sense.
Occasional reading
You mainly use Lumyeye to read a letter, identify an object, check whether the light is on. Classic covers 100% of those use cases, for €14.90/month.
Android user
Lumyeye Pro is iOS 17.6+ only for now (Gemini Live + Ray-Ban Meta connection coming soon). On Android, Classic is the version available. The Pro Android version is in the pipeline — get notified at launch.
Tight budget
If every euro counts, Classic at €14.90/month stays accessible (less than a coffee a day) and offers about 30 free requests before subscribing, no credit card required. You can always move up to Pro later, with no loss of progress.
