How Lumyeye Pro Search and Find works
Ask, “Find my white sneakers,” then slowly scan the room with your iPhone camera. Real-time visual analysis looks for the requested item and describes what is visible. When it identifies the sneakers, Lumyeye Pro gives spoken direction so you can move toward them.
Behind that simple request is a complex combination of live image interpretation, spatial measurement and guidance rules. On a LiDAR-equipped iPhone, depth data builds a 3D view of the nearby scene and helps estimate distance. The phone’s motion sensors, including its accelerometer and orientation or tilt information, help interpret the angle at which the camera is held. These signals work with the live description rather than acting as separate ways to find an object.
Spatial rules translate the camera and depth information into useful descriptions: the item may be at your feet, on a low table, straight ahead or above you. The result is practical guidance from a technically demanding system, presented as a straightforward spoken answer. Accuracy depends on visibility, lighting, distance, movement and the capabilities of your device.
If an obstacle lies between you and the target, the guidance can suggest moving left or right to go around it. After the detour, it redirects you toward the object. This is guidance based on the scene the phone can currently perceive, not a guarantee that a path is clear; keep using your usual mobility aids and check each step.
