Ask the menu a specific question
Say what you want to know while pointing the camera at the menu. Lumyeye Pro takes a photo, extracts the legible text with OCR and answers that question first. You do not have to listen to a description of the whole menu to find one dish.
For example, ask “Is there an Italian dish?” The answer can identify an Italian option shown on the menu and a dessert such as tiramisu if it appears there. Ask “Is there anything else?” to continue exploring the same captured menu. This is an illustrative example, not a word-for-word transcript of the video.
You can also ask “Are there vegan options?”, “Is there fish?”, “Is there a dish without mushrooms?”, “What are today’s specials?” or “Which desserts cost less than $12?” Lumyeye Pro can answer from items, ingredients and prices that are actually legible in the photo. Take another photo if a page, price or ingredient list is out of frame.
For an allergy, use the answer to find possible choices, then confirm ingredients, preparation and cross-contact directly with restaurant staff. A menu may omit allergens or kitchen details; Lumyeye Pro cannot certify that a dish is safe.
