Feature · Currency identification
Identify US dollar bills by voice.
All US bills look and feel almost identical to a blind hand. Lumyeye reads them in less than one second — $1, $5, $10, $20, $50, $100. Available on iPhone and Android, free trial.
Why it matters
Unlike Euro, GBP or Yen, US dollar bills all share the same size and feel. Without a sighted helper, it is almost impossible for a blind person to tell a $5 from a $50. The US Treasury has been promising raised tactile features for years, with no rollout. Lumyeye fills the gap in seconds.
How Lumyeye does it
Point your phone at the bill, tap once. Lumyeye captures, analyzes and says aloud: "twenty dollars". Works in low light with the LED flash, works in any orientation (face up or down, front or back), recognizes folded or worn bills.
Supported currencies
USD ($1-$100), EUR (5-500), GBP (5-50), CAD, CHF, AUD, JPY. Switch language in Settings.

Tip: separate bills in your wallet
Combine Lumyeye with the classic NFB folding system: $1 flat, $5 folded once lengthwise, $10 folded once widthwise, $20 folded twice. You can now check & sort a stack in 10 seconds.
