User Guide
Lumyeye PRO, from morning till night.
All the voice commands, step by step, through a typical day. One rule: double-tap the screen, say what you need, Lumyeye answers.
Safety notice
Lumyeye PRO is a visual assistant, but it does not replace your senses or your usual mobility aids.
- Mobility: never use this app to cross a street or move through traffic. Keep using your white cane or guide dog.
- Health: never rely on this app to read a medication dosage or identify a drug. Always ask a pharmacist or a relative for confirmation.
- Status: Lumyeye PRO is an assistive tool, not a certified medical or safety device.
Step 1
How to activate Lumyeye PRO.
Lumyeye never listens in the background — you decide every time. No wake word that fires by mistake, no always-on microphone.
Gesture: double-tap anywhere on the screen.
A short tone confirms it is listening. You can speak straight away.
End of request: Lumyeye replies, then goes back to standby on its own.
No button to find. The microphone shuts off automatically.
Cancel: double-tap again while Lumyeye is speaking.
The voice stops and the app starts listening again.
Tip: Lumyeye PRO is 100% compatible with VoiceOver. You do not need to turn VoiceOver off.

Waking up.
Lumyeye starts your day with an automatic audio briefing, and gives you time and battery on request.
Morning briefing — automatic on the first double-tap of the day.
Lumyeye reads your battery, today's weather, your calendar and pending memos. No command needed.
"What time is it?" or simply "time".
Reads the current time and date.
"What's my battery?" or "battery".
Reads the percentage and tells you whether the iPhone is charging.
Step 3
Breakfast.
To cook, watch a brewing time, light up a dark corner — all by voice.
"Start a 3 minute timer" or "timer 10 minutes".
Starts a countdown with a voice alert at the end. You can run several timers in parallel.
"Turn on the flashlight", "flash", or "light".
Turns on the rear LED as a flashlight.
"Turn off the flashlight" or "flash off".
Switches the LED off.
Step 4
Morning mail.
Read a document, ask questions about it, get a summary. Lumyeye understands and answers.
"Read this document" or "read".
Lumyeye photographs the page, runs text recognition and reads the letter word for word with a natural voice.
Follow-up questions — ask anything about the document.
"Who is it from?", "Do I owe anything?", "When's the deadline?", "Who's the sender?"
"Summarise this document" or "summary".
Returns the essentials in a few clear sentences.
"Continue", "next", "go on".
Resumes reading where it stopped.
Step 5
Out in the city.
Location, walking directions, scene description — all by voice.
"Where am I?", "my location".
Reads your exact address, city and a nearby landmark.
"Take me to the post office", "directions to the pharmacy".
Computes a walking route and reads the summary.
"Guide me to the station" or "start navigation".
Opens Google Maps in turn-by-turn walking mode.
"What do you see?", "describe the scene", "look".
Takes an HD photo and reads a description with distances.
Step 6
Walking — Live Vision.
The camera describes your surroundings continuously: obstacles, shop windows, signs, crowd movement.
"Activate vision mode", "vision mode".
Starts the camera in continuous mode. Lumyeye narrates what it sees until you stop.
Targeted object search — while vision mode is active.
"Do you see my keys?", "Can you see the remote?" Lumyeye announces the object and gives the direction.
Question about the previous image.
"What colour is the jumper?" — Lumyeye reuses the last image in memory.
"Stop vision mode", "stop vision".
Stops the camera and returns to standby.
Step 7
Staying in touch.
Call, text, send news by mail — no keyboard.
"Call Mary", "phone Mum".
Finds the contact, reads the name and starts the call.
"Call 06 01 02 03 04".
Reconstructs the number digit by digit and starts the call.
"Text Bob", "message Bob".
Opens a pre-filled message screen. Dictate your text.
"Send an email to Bob" — digital postcard.
Lumyeye dictates your message and sends it from a Lumyeye no-reply mailbox. It is a one-way send, like a postcard: replies will not come back into Lumyeye.
Step 8
Getting organised.
Note a meeting, memorise an information, find it again even after a restart.
Calendar
"Calendar" — the simplest command.
Lumyeye asks you for the date, then the time, then the subject.
"Calendar tomorrow 2 pm dentist" — all in one go.
Lumyeye parses the whole sentence and saves the event directly.
"What are my appointments?".
Reads your upcoming events.
Memos
"Memo save" — to note an information.
Example: "Memo save, the cellar key is with the neighbour."
"Memo read" — to find an information.
Example: "Memo read, where is the cellar key?"
"Memo delete" — to remove a specific memo.
Lumyeye reads the memo and asks for confirmation before deleting.
Step 9
Unwind — Spotify.
Play a track, an album, pause, resume — all by voice.
"Play Aznavour", "Play Daft Punk Get Lucky on Spotify".
Opens Spotify and plays the requested track.
"Stop the music", "pause".
Pauses playback. Say "resume" to start again.
Step 10
A question on the fly.
Weather, news, opening hours, sports scores — without opening Safari.
Web search.
"Who is Victor Hugo?", "What's the weather tomorrow?" — the main answer is read aloud.
"Call this number".
Lumyeye remembers the number cited and places the call.
Step 11
Evening.
Read a medication box, check the battery, wind down.
"Read this medication box".
Reads the drug name, dosage and expiry date. Always confirm with a pharmacist or relative.
"Battery" before you put the phone down.
Check whether to plug it in.
